The best way to get your daily intake of calcium is through food.  It is recommended that a man get 1,000 mg of calcium a day unless your over the age of 70, then you need 1,200 mg a day from food.  Women from the ages of 19-50 should aim for 1,000 mg of calcium a day from food.  If you are over 50 you need  1,200 mg of calcium from food and 1,000 IU D-3 from a supplement.  Weight bearing exercise like walking is a good way to keep bones healthy and strong.
